II

Experimental Form

The aim was to prepare to create bold and experimental idea forms and present them in a site-specific context; to learn to observe and perceive the properties of materials through experimentation with texture and form; and to develop spatial thinking through the realisation of original idea forms.

"The molten curtains are an allegory for global warming and future synthetic coral reefs."

Digital Printing Design for Clothes

The aim was to utilize the capabilities of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for implementing designs and visualizing projects, develop a comprehensive collection concept, design textile patterns for digital printing, demonstrate the application of print designs on clothing models, and present technical drawings of the clothing models.

Silk screen printing

The goal is to ensure preparation for printing on textiles and other materials using screen printing techniques by applying stencil cutting and photo processing methods with pigment colors. Additionally, it aims to provide an understanding of the creative possibilities of manual printing techniques and facilitate the creation of a collection.

Supervisor Piret Valk

Composition

The aim of course was to harmonize the skill levels of admitted students by providing the necessary basic knowledge of applied aesthetics and composition; to develop the learner's imagination by exploring through basic skills the logic of the formation of the compositional and structural whole.

Pattern design

I. Stylizing an object into a pattern element

The task was to choose five objects and for each object create by hand 5 different variants.

I have chosen moth, shell, pumpkin, jellyfish.

II. Personal patterns

The task was to choose 3 persons, for each person, select the object that characterises the person. Find a conceptual way to characterise each persona, and according to this create stylization pattern of the elements and the appropriate colouring.

Supervisor Krista Leesi

Sketchbook project

For my sketchbook, I decided to focus on 'quick sketches'. Especially for representing moving objects that cannot be controlled. That's why animals were a more suitable subject. To achieve my goal, I decided to visit Tallinn Zoo. There I was able to develop the theme of quick sketches. Creating each sheet I first sketched out the main outline of the animal as quickly as possible, taking the object as simpler shapes. I then added necessary details to achieve the following

similarity between the drawing and the animal.

It should be noted that some of the animals were quite difficult to represent in a certain way due to their constant movement. In such cases, I spent more time on the animal itself, on the way it was posed, on the way it moved, its appearance, the proportions of the different parts of

its body and so on.

By the end of the work, I was able to achieve my goals. I also gained some interesting experiences that will help with further development and other projects.
